Hops Not Hate Beers
One Home, 5.5% SIPA
As part of Dry & Bitter’s 5th birthday celebrations, we have pledged to release five charity beers throughout 2020, all focused on the theme of water. Craft brewing is a very water-intensive process, and we are very aware that our location in Denmark, a country with clean, rich aquifers, enables us to brew beer without any concern for access to clean water.
One Home is the first of these 5 beers and is being released under the Hops Not Hate banner. One Home is focusing on those working to preserve and heal both flora and fauna in the wake of the destructive Australian wildfires earlier this year.
Hops Not Hate beers focus attention on both international charities and a local charity. For the on-the-ground Australian part of this mission, 50% of the net profits of this beer are being split between two Australian charities:
WIRES – an Australian Wildlife Rescue Charity
The Australian Red Cross – the Australian chapter of this international humanitarian organization
As for the local charity, we are very pleased to be donating kegs of One Home to Copenhagen’s Heaps Good Cafe, whose proprietor Anika Vinson, is Australian. She is organizing a fundraiser for Australian wildfire relief this Friday, 6 March, in Christianshavn – if you are in town please stop by!
